Interplay between magnetism and interface-induced effects in ultrathin manganites

چکیده
Optimally doped manganite ${[\mathrm{La}}_{0.67}{\mathrm{Sr}}_{0.33}{\mathrm{MnO}}_{3}$ (LSMO)] is a ferromagnetic material with perspective use in applications due to colossal magnetoresistance and ${T}_{c}$ around room temperature. However, utilizing LSMO thin-film form complex heterostructures limited the appearance of magnetic dead layer, but interfacing other transition metal oxides (TMOs) can reduce layer. For instance, layer proximity ${\mathrm{SrRuO}}_{3}$ (SRO) remains down 1--2 u.c. To illuminate this effect, we study properties orbital anisotropy ultrathin deposited on ${\mathrm{SrTiO}}_{3}$ (STO) compared without an SRO intermediate by resonant x-ray spectroscopy. We found that two events occur at LSMO-SRO interface: Orbital rearrangement charge transfer. Both effects cooperate, enhancing in-plane double exchange LSMO. Based quantitative analysis theoretical simulation spectra, stability mechanisms LSMO/SRO are discussed detail.

Interplay Between Optical Bianisotropy and Magnetism in Plasmonic Metamolecules.
The smallness of natural molecules and atoms with respect to the wavelength of light imposes severe limits on the nature of their optical response. For example, the well-known argument of Landau and Lifshitz and its recent extensions that include chiral molecules show that the electric dipole response dominates over the magneto-electric (bianisotropic) and an even smaller magnetic dipole optica...
متن کاملInterplay between magnetism and superconductivity in the iron pnictides
We consider phase transitions and potential coexistence of spin-density-wave SDW magnetic order and extended s-wave s+ superconducting order within a two-band itinerant model of iron pnictides in which SDW magnetism and s+ superconductivity are competing orders. We show that depending on parameters, the transition between these two states is either first order or involves an intermediate phase ...
متن کاملInterplay between structure and magnetism in Mo12S9I9 nanowires.
We investigate the equilibrium geometry and electronic structure of Mo12S9I9 nanowires using ab initio density functional calculations. The skeleton of these unusually stable nanowires consists of rigid, functionalized Mo octahedra, connected by flexible, bistable sulfur bridges. This structural flexibility translates into a capability to stretch up to approximately 20% at almost no energy cost...
متن کاملInterplay between 3d and 4f magnetism in CeCoPO
The ground state properties of CeCoPO, a homologue of the new high temperature superconductors LnFePnO1−xFx, were studied by means of susceptibility, specific heat, and resistivity measurements on polycrystals. The observation of a well defined Curie-Weiss behavior above 230K with μeff = 2.9μB and a ferromagnetic ordering below TC = 75K is similar to what was observed in LaCoPO and points to ma...
